Ukraine's parliament gave its initial approval on Wednesday to an extra $9.8 billion in budget spending for the army and defence this year as the war against Russia drags on with no end in sight.

The Luxembourg government has contributed an additional €10 million to Ukraine’s Energy Support Fund, increasing its total contribution to €12 million. The full amount has already been transferred to Ukraine,

"The key task should be to develop mechanisms and tools that will allow us to attract these funds," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
