A 21-year-old man has been charged with setting fire to 11 New York City police vehicles in Brooklyn during a time of nationwide protests in June. Federal prosecutors say Jakhi McCray was caught on surveillance video scaling a fence to a secure lot where the police vehicles were parked.

McCray, suspected of burning 11 NYPD vehicles, surrendered to authorities and faces federal arson charges. His alleged act caused $800,000 in damages.
