A journalist who covers Newcastle United has dropped a huge update on Alexander Isak amid interest from Liverpool. Liverpool remain in the market for new players, having already added Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez to their Premier League title-winning squad.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is reportedly calm over rumours that Liverpool are eyeing their star striker, Alexander Isak. Informal discussions have already taken place between Howe and the 25-year-old Swedish international about his future, with more comprehensive talks in the pipeline.

Advanced talks are underway to recruit Brighton's Brazilian Pedro and they have even reached the offer stage. Fifty-million pounds is the first figure that has been placed on the table though the Seagulls have rejected this, holding out for £60m instead.
