Border Patrol agents recorded 132,652 apprehensions of migrants who entered the U.S. unlawfully in between ports of entry in July, compared to nearly 100,000 such apprehensions in June.

In Arizona, Trump pitches ideas to attract more Border Patrol agents. The former president said he wants to add 10,000 agents, an ambitious target for an agency already struggling to grow its ranks.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Arizona charged 124 people for immigration violations, including illegal re-entry and alien smuggling, as part of Operation Take Back America.
