AT&T is paying out a $177 million settlement after two data breaches exposed customers’ personal information, according to reports from CNET.
Insurance company Allianz Life has confirmed that the personal information for the "majority" of its 1.4 million customers was exposed in a data breach that occurred earlier this month.
In total, the data created a detailed financial and behavioral profile of both citizens, and organizations, in Sweden. Overall, it contained more than 100 million data records, generated between 2019 and 2024, and spread across 25 indices.
Personal data belonging to the majority of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America’s 1.4 million customers has been compromised in a cyberattack, the company has confirmed.
Hackers have accessed the personal data of most of the 1.4 million customers of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America.

On Friday, June 20, US District Judge Ada Brown granted preliminary approval to the terms of a proposed settlement from AT&T that would resolve two lawsuits related to the data breaches. The current settlement would see AT&T pay $177 million to customers adversely affected by at least one of the two data breaches.
