Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, home of Disney's newest planned theme park, has boomed over two decades into one of the biggest consumer economic engines in the world.

A tiny California theme park, Adventure City, has carved a niche for itself despite nearby megaparks, Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm.

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro told USA TODAY the new theme park will be “like no other park that we've built before.”
