Thiruvananthapuram: The mother of Nimisha Priya, a Kerala nurse sentenced to death in Yemen for the murder of a Yemeni national, has made an impassioned appeal for assistance to save her daughter’s life.

Nimisha Priya had opened a clinic in Yemen with a business partner who tried to sexually assault her and did not share the earnings either. She sedated him but the overdose killed him, which led to Nimisha's arrest.

Nimisha Priya, a native of Palakkad in Kerala, had been working as a nurse in Yemen since 2008. She landed in trouble while attempting to start her own nursing clinic in Sana'a, using forged documents to show that she was married to a Yemeni man.
