One person is dead and another facing a murder charge in Tallulah after one inmate allegedly stabbed another Monday. According to officials with the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office (MPSO), deputies responded to Security Management Correctional in Tallulah for a reported stabbing Monday morning.

Pastorick said Boyd was allegedly stabbed in the neck around 3:25 a.m. Monday with a shank by fellow inmate Austin Dean, 33. Correctional center staff is said to have immediately responded and rendered first aid, and then Boyd was brought to a local hospital, where he died at 5 a.m.
