Marco Andretti continues his elusive quest for a first Indianapolis 500 victory in 2025 in a 20th start after he was announced by Andretti Global on January 7.

Despite the highly-publicized exit of his father atop the team, Marco Andretti will return for a 20th Indy 500 with Andretti Global in May.

Marco Andretti has taken part in every Indianapolis 500 since his infamous runner-up finish in 2006. Andretti will be returning yet again this May as he will attempt to qualify for his 20th Indianapolis 500.

For the 53rd time in 109 Indianapolis 500s, a member of the Andretti family will be a part of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. Andretti Global announced Tuesday that Marco Andretti will run in the 109th Indy 500 this May.

MAPEI, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chemical products for the building industry, will return for its second season of NTT INDYCAR SERIES competition in 2025 as the primary partner of Andretti’s Indy 500 entry and as an official partner on the No. 27 Honda driven by Kyle Kirkwood for the entire 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.

Andretti Global will again field a car for Marco Andretti in the Indianapolis 500, Andretti announced Jan. 7. Andretti will pilot the MAPEI-sponsored No. 98. The company will also continue to sponsor Kyle Kirkwood ‘s full-time No. 27 in the series.
