Wake Forest has named transfer Robby Ashford as the starting quarterback for Jake Dickert's coaching debut against Kennesaw State on Friday.

On Sunday it was reported by Conor O'Neill of Deacons Illustrated that former Auburn Tigers quarterback Robby Ashford would be the signal caller for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Ashford is on his fourth college team in his career. He started his career with the Oregon Ducks before he had stops at Auburn and South Carolina.

Robby Ashford has been named Wake Forest’s starting quarterback. The former Auburn and South Carolina QB will make his first start Friday vs. Kennesaw State.
