As the MAGA civil war worsens over the White House's handling of the Epstein files, Donald Trump has set his sights on a new enemy: Rupert Murdoch. Trump is suing the media mogul and his media empire over bombshell reporting from The Wall Street Journal alleging he sent a 'bawdy' birthday letter to the late Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump on Friday sued Murdoch, Dow Jones and News Corp in the latest example of the president looking to chill the press with lawsuits. Broadcasters CBS and ABC each paid $16mn to settle lawsuits with Trump, successes that he alluded to in his threats against Murdoch and the WSJ.
