At least 11 people were arrested during a Border Patrol operation in south Sacramento Thursday morning, officials said. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said that they had received a call about armed, masked men in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Florin Road, near Highway 99, shortly after 7:45 a.m.

Agents are arresting immigrants in cities such as Los Angeles and New York. Their expanding reach has sparked concern in law enforcement and immigrant communities.

Border Patrol said following a raid at a Home Depot in Sacramento, California, last week that five of the 11 detained suspected illegal migrants have a criminal history.
