For as good as the Steelers' defense and special teams were, the offense still had concerning factors despite a 32-point outburst. Justin Fields had two rushing touchdowns and extended plays with his legs. However, in the passing game, Fields was an up-and-down ride with far more down than he had in previous games.

Even with these upgrades, the Steelers offense is still stuck in neutral. But this time it feels self-imposed by Smith. He’s got an athlete in Fields and he’s got a freakish athlete in wide receiver George Pickens but seems content trying to grind out a run game that hasn’t been at all effective.

What started off looking like another classic Steelers letdown of letting an inferior team with inferior players hang around only to pull out a close win turned into Pittsburgh scoring their second-most points in the post-Ben Roethlisberger era and defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 32-13.
