A nonprofit group called the SALT Coalition – an acronym for Spiritual Activists Leading Together – has organized an interfaith prayer vigil for those affected by Saturday’s extreme violence at a Walmart store in the up-north Michigan town.

Chaos unfolded at a Walmart in Michigan after a man burst into the store during a calm shopping afternoon and stabbed 11 people at random, authorities say.

The Michigan State Police said the local sheriff’s office is investigating the incident and details are limited.

The actions of Kolakowski and some other men drew effusive praise from Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea.
