The first tropical storm of 2025 formed in the Pacific Ocean, off the southwestern coast of Mexico, on Thursday. According to a National Hurricane Center (NHC) advisory issued Thursday morning, the center of Tropical Storm Alvin was located south of the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California.
