The 49ers moved up one spot to No. 6 after the Chicago Bears dropped from No. 1 to No. 7 due to their loss to the Green Bay Packers. They’re still third in the NFC West, as the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams both won, improving their records to 10-3.

49ers officially move up in NFC standings despite having the week off
The San Francisco 49ers didn't play in Week 14, but that didn't stop them from moving up in the NFC standings with just four games to go.
Jordan Love threw three touchdowns, including long strikes to Bo Melton and Christian Watson. With 22 seconds left, Keisean Nixon intercepted Caleb Williams in the end zone to seal the win. Williams finished 19-of-35 for 186 yards, two TDs and one interception. The Bears rushed well late, but the loss dropped them to 9-4.
