The FCC chairman called out at the "partisan left's" reaction to Stephen Colbert's cancellation by CBS on Monday, saying they were acting like they were losing a "loyal" spokesperson.

John Oliver, Jon Stewart, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers and more had cameos during the July 21 episode of "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert."

The cancellation from CBS comes after Colbert criticized his parent company on-air for their $16 million settlement with Trump.

When it was announced in 2014 that Stephen Colbert would succeed David Letterman as host of the CBS “Late Show,” reaction was mixed. Letterman, who retired after helming the talk show for 22 years, had a loyal audience. At that point, Colbert was best known for playing a satirical version of himself on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report.”
