Hooters has closed over 30 corporate-owned restaurants across multiple states as part of its bankruptcy restructuring filing that enables a founder-led buyout to transition to a pure franchise model.
Hooters also closed dozens of locations prior to bankruptcy in early 2024.Hooters’ changes follow the closures of 15 locations of Bahama Breeze, a restaurant chain owned by Darden Restaurants.
Hooters filed for bankruptcy in March but gave no indication of impending closures at that time. Three Tennessee locations in Murfreesboro, Memphis, and Nashville were among those closed.
