The president, once the target of federal prosecution, says he wants to combat “weaponization” of the department, even as he uses its powers to punish enemies and reward allies.

President Donald Trump on Friday vowed to seek accountability for prosecutors and officials who pursued legal cases against him during his years out of power, speaking at the U.S. Justice Department whose prosecutors had brought some of those cases.

The president railed against the Justice Department prosecutions he once faced even as he denounced those who criticize judges.
