A bill named after Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman aims to increase penalties for felony accessory to murder, following the early release of Ronnie Busick.

Lauria Bible's surviving mother told 2 News reporter Samson Tamijani that aside from finally finding her daughter's remains, she wants to get a piece of legislation named after her signed into law.

On Wednesday, the State House passed House Bill 1001, also called Lauria and Ashley's Law, that would add accessory to murder to the list of crimes requiring a prisoner to serve 85 percent of their sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
