A fatal house fire was reported in Comanche early Monday morning. The fire broke out before 6:15 a.m. on January 26 in the 400 block of North Austin Street.

JASPER, Texas — Texas A&M Forest Service has approved more than $17 million in funding for hundreds of volunteer fire departments statewide, including several in Southeast Texas, to help rural first responders purchase critical fire and rescue equipment.
