“This was historic,” says Kenton County School District spokesperson Jess Dykes. “You know, we’ve not had this amount of snow in a long time.” Dykes says there are two factors to consider when weighing a potential closure or delay: the weather forecast and the ability of buses to pick up students.

Several schools will remain closed Thursday across Greater Cincinnati due to the extremely cold temperatures and impacts from winter weather.

Winter weather is on the way, and school closures are anticipated across north Georgia.
