The countdown to Election Day is on. Even though the official date is on November 5, many have already voted early.

Linda Phillips, the Shelby County Election Commission administrator of elections, said 70% of those who recently registered to vote locallay are 18-36.

As early voting began this election cycle, the commission opted to not hand out coffee stirrers for voters. However, after the first day of voting came and went, the commission reinstated the use of coffee stirrers for easier voting.

(WMC) -People in Shelby County wasted no time casting their ballots for the General and Municipal elections. Early voting began Wednesday, and lines were long in some locations—some voters waited close to an hour.

With less than three weeks until the Election Day the WC is reassuring voters it has plans in place to ensure a safe and fair election.

EARLY VOTING BEGINS 🗳️ In Shelby County, there are nearly 30 polling locations to cast your vote for the President of the United States and other races. This includes a U.S. Senate seat, state representatives and multiple referendums.
