In his 22nd career marathon, Eliud Kipchoge finished sixth at the 2025 London Marathon, running a time of 2:05:25. Kipchoge, who turned 40 in November, was the top finisher in the masters division, although he fell short of Kenenisa Bekele’s masters world record of 2:04:15 from London last year.

Eliud Kipchoge recorded a sixth-place finish at the 2025 London Marathon, won by Sabastian Sawe, but the double Olympic champion still made a good fortune out of it.

Kipchoge, despite being 40 and in the twilight days of his career, beat some formidable names in a marathon dominated by his Kenyan counterpart Sebastian Sawe, who won the marathon with an impressive world lead of 2:02:28 in his second 42 km marathon ever.
