Storms on Friday mostly stay away from Houston, but lightning could soon crackle across the skies this weekend. Here’s when rain makes a return.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Chambers, Liberty, and Houston counties. This flood warning will remain in effect until Monday morning. Spotty to scattered showers and storms are possible Friday, with the most activity during the afternoon and evening hours.
