The suspect, 44-year-old Menifee woman Olga Mendez, was booked on suspicion of kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats and two unrelated warrants, according to deputies.

A man has been taken into custody following what police are calling a “crisis intervention/kidnapping” situation that ended with the discovery of the suspect’s dead mother inside a home in Bartlett. The Bartlett Police Department responded to the incident in the 4100 block of Luther Road on Thursday evening.
