ESPN's Tim Legler believes that the Los Angeles Lakers have officially moved out of LeBron James' era, and are prioritizing Luka Doncic.

The future of the Los Angeles Lakers isn’t as clear-cut as it seemed to be less than a season ago. After landing Luka Doncic in one of the biggest trades in NBA history, the Lakers expected a duo of the Slovenian star and LeBron James to lead the way for the future.

Conversely, while James' future in L.A. still remains up in the air, it's expected that Doncic will re-sign with the team, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. The Lakers can offer Doncic a four-year, $229 million extension on Aug. 2, or he can sign a three-year, $165 million extension with a 2028 player option.
