P ITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Pirates right-handed starting pitcher Mitch Keller put in one of his best performances of the season in a 5-0 shutout victory over the St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park. The Pirates complete the sweep of the Cardinals, as they also won 7-0 on June 30 and 1-0 on July 1, shutting out their rival in all three games.

Mitch Keller hadn’t won a game since the early days of the season. Keller allowed one run and five hits in 5 1/3 innings with four strikeouts and a walk in leading the Pittsburgh Pirates over the New York Mets 9-1.
