MLB umpire Hunter Wendelstedt was able to walk off the field after taking a line drive to his head while working first base during Monday's game between the Minnesota Twins and New York Mets.

First base umpire Hunter Wendelstedt was struck in the head by a foul ball hit by Mets center fielder Tyrone Taylor, forcing him to leave the game. Per Justin Tasch of the New York Post, Wendelstedt was "down to the ground for several minutes before he got to his feet and was assisted off the field."

Veteran umpire Hunter Wendelstedt had to leave the game in Minnesota after he was struck in the face behind first base by a line drive foul ball.
