Connor McDavid continues to climb the ranks. In picking up a trio of points in Wednesday’s 5-3 road win over the Minnesota Wild, the Edmonton Oilers captain pushed his career point total to 1,044 and surpassed legendary forward Jari Kurri for second place on the franchise’s all-time scoring list.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Connor McDavid continues setting records and moving up scoring lists.

McDavid’s second goal of the game at 12:49 of the third period gave him 1,044 points in 686 career games with Edmonton, passing Hockey Hall of Famer Jari Kurri’s mark with the Oilers (1,043 points in 754 games). Wayne Gretzky is the franchise leader in points (1,669 in 696 games).

Connor McDavid was the only player to score a goal in the recent meeting between his Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings. McDavid picked up his tally in t
