The world is currently enjoying Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti's The Penguin but this fan theory makes it all the more interesting with Poison Ivy!

This story discusses major plot developments in Season 1, Episode 4 of "The Penguin," currently airing on HBO and streaming on Max. Cristin Milioti has grown quite familiar with the superhero song and dance.

SPOILER ALERT! This story contains details from Sunday’s episode of The Penguin on HBO. If HBO’s adaptation about the classic DC villain can be described as dark, then the fourth episode titled “Cent'Anni” is a straight-up black hole because it explains how Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) became the maleficent foe to Colin Farrell’s Oz Cobbs.

But the majority of the episode actually takes place ten years prior to The Penguin's present-day events, instead focusing on a younger Sofia as she's framed for murder by her father, crime lord Carmine Falcone (played by John Turturro in The Batman and now played by Mark Strong in flashbacks).

It feels counterintuitive, but it’s quite a joy knowing that you don’t have to hunt through the Batman spin-off looking for Easter eggs. Here’s a great example: Episode 4 took viewers to Arkham Asylum and didn’t show us the Joker.
