The driver of a pickup truck who veered off Route 12 in Lisbon and struck a pedestrian, killing him, has been accused of driving under the influence.

State police say a pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene after being struck by a vehicle on Route 12 Monday evening.

Route 12 was closed late Monday night due to a serious crash, but it has since been reopened. State police reported that River Road was closed at 10:40 p.m. after a driver struck a pedestrian. The extent of the victim’s injuries was not clear.
