Chicago Cubs left-hander Shota Imanaga left a 4-0 loss at Milwaukee after straining his left hamstring, adding another injury to the banged-up rotation for the NL Central leaders.
Shota Imanaga sent a message to fellow Cubs lefty Justin Steele on Tuesday morning. Given that Steele also dealt with a left hamstring injury last season, Imanaga wanted to reach out as he begins his own rehab program and comeback.
As manager Craig Counsell has said, great seasons need surprises. Count left-hander Matthew Boyd as the surprise arm to lead the Cubs’ rotation through what has been a great start on the North Side.
