A South Korean court rejected on Wednesday a request to issue an arrest warrant for former President Yoon Suk Yeol related to an investigation into his short-lived attempt to impose martial law, his lawyers said.

South Korean prosecutors on Tuesday sought a fresh arrest warrant for South Korea's ousted President Yoon Suk Yeol. Special Prosecutor Cho Eun-seok, who is investigating Yoon's martial law decree on Dec. 3, requested an arrest warrant for Yoon for obstructing duties, Seoul-based Yonhap News reported.
