An unconfirmed report says that the US Department of Commerce is making a probe into TSMC whether it's breaking America's sanction on Huawei.

The U.S. is reportedly probing whether TSMC is making AI or smartphone chips with Huawei, currently barred from accessing chips made with U.S. technology.

Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC said on Friday that it was a law abiding company and committed to complying with laws and regulations, including export controls, following a media report the U.S. government was probing their dealings with China's Huawei.
