Google’s new AI model Gemini launched today inside the Bard chatbot. It could go on to advance robotics and other projects, says Demis Hassabis, the AI executive leading the project.

It now also features integration with Google's other products and can export code to Colab, the company's cloud-based notebook environment for Python, as well as help users write functions for Sheets.

Exporting chat responses is now also easier on Bard with a Python code-exporting option. Users will be able to export their code to Replit as well as Google Colab.

Google is updating its Bard AI chatbot to support code generation. Developers can now use Bard to generate code, debug existing code, and help explain lines of code.

Google is hoping to reintroduce Bard to a more favorable reception (and like Bing Chat using OpenAI's GPT-4 on the QT, Bard has been using PaLM 2).
