The Los Angeles Kings are in town and have practically owned the Florida Panthers over the last several seasons. Just last Wednesday, the Kings scored twice in the third to squeeze out a 2-1 win in Los Angeles.

The Florida Panthers and the Los Angeles Kings are both coming off losses heading into their game on Wednesday night in Sunrise, Fla. The Kings lost 5-2 on the road to the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night and the Panthers fell 4-1 to the host Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday.

Talbot made 41 saves, including 23 in the third period, in a 5-2 win over the Panthers on Thursday. The Red Wings stepped up with a lot of offensive support, and Talbot locked down the net.

The Red Wings (23-21-5, 51 points) have won back-to-back games, both with Talbot in net. Talbot is 7-1-0 in his past eight starts. The one loss was a 5-1 setback at Tampa Bay Jan. 18 when he was pulled after two periods.
