Oskar Sundqvist skated as an extra forward during Blues morning skate on Monday, as Nathan Walker checked back into the lineup.

The NHL Department of Player Safety announced Friday that St. Louis Blues center Oskar Sundqvist has been fined $2,000 for diving and embellishment. Sundqvist’s fine follows an embellishment warning that came after a late November contest against the New York Rangers.

The Dallas Stars (30-17-1, in the Central Division) came up with a key win Friday night, taking down the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 at American Airlines Center. Dallas will have a quick turnaround, hitting the road to face the Blues (23-22-4, in the Central Division) on Saturday in St. Louis.

"St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist has been fined $2,000 as supplementary discipline under NHL Rule 64 (Diving/Embellishment)," the league said in their press release.

Home ice continues not to provide an advantage for the Blues. They lost to the Dallas Stars 2-0 Saturday night at Enterprise Center to fall to 11-12-1 on their own rink. By losing for the third time in four games overall, the Blues slipped back to 23-23-4 for the season and fell further off the pace in the Western Conference playoff chase.

Mark Stone scored 19 seconds into the game and had an assist as the Vegas Golden Knights snapped a four-game skid with a 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues.

Tyler Tucker and Jake Neighbours scored for the Blues, and Jordan Binnington had 29 saves. Tucker put St. Louis on the board first 2:05 into the game, snapping in a long-distance goal when Oskar Sundqvist flipped the puck out to him after winning a faceoff.

Jim Montgomery made it very clear prior to last Thursday's 4-1 win against the Calgary Flames that just because a particular lineup wins a game, or even strings together consecutive wins, that doesn't mean that particular lineup is set in stone for the next game.
