Climate expert: We weren't hearing about the candidates' stances on climate action, so I asked them directly
Here’s what Heather Humphreys and Catherine Connolly said about climate action and what it means for the election, writes Dr Cara Augustenborg.
“The way to victory is to talk about price ,” the Hawaii Democrat said at a New York Times event last month. “You could talk about the planetary emergency and mitigation and adaptation, and you could throw in some environmental justice rhetoric, and by the time you’re done talking, people think you don’t care about them.”
Edmonton’s municipal election is fast approaching. CBC News asked Edmontonians what their top priorities are as they prepare to cast their ballots, and one that came up again and again was mitigating and adapting to climate change.
The fundraising vehicle tripled its number of donors to 33,000 people, and received $5 million between seven key contributors, as it expanded to back 35 candidates.
