Help is on the way for the Ottawa Senators. Veteran winger David Perron, who has only suited up for nine games this season, is expected to suit up for the first time since Nov. 23 when the Senators face the Boston Bruins on Thursday night at TD Garden.

Tim Stutzle scored the only goal in the shootout and had a goal and an assist, Norris scored twice, and Merilainen made 23 saves for the Senators (23-18-4), who are 4-0-1 in their past five games.

Before scoring in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Utah, Tkachuk had gone 10 games without a goal or an assist. Giroux’ goal Sunday was his first since Dec. 19. Batherson has one goal (Jan. 11) since Dec. 17. Stutzle had just six goals since the beginning of December (27 games). Tough to figure, right?
