Five separate rulings were released on Friday morning, including three highly anticipated opinions on LGBTQ lessons in public schools, age verification for porn sites and birthright citizenship. Those rulings came a day after the high court found that states have the power to block Planned Parenthood from receiving Medicaid funding for all services it provides.

A divided U.S. Supreme Court has sided with religious parents who want to pull their children out of the classroom when a public school lesson uses LGBTQ-themed storybooks. The 6-3 decision Friday in a case brought by parents in Maryland comes as certain books are increasingly being banned from public schools and libraries.

The ruling affirmed parents’ rights to opt their children out of reading materials that conflict with their religious beliefs.
