The series by creator Noah Hawley is described as a spin-off to the original Ridley Scott-directed film, " Alien ," from 1979. The film follows a space crew aboard the starship, Nostromo, who are on their journey back home when they receive a distress call from an alien vessel.

Earth for years, FX and Hulu have settled on releasing the first season of the show through a weekly schedule. The model will allow fans to unveil the mysteries of the series throughout the fall of 2025.

Alien: Earth will have 8 episodes that will air on FX and Hulu on Tuesday nights at 8 P.M. ET/PT. The show premiered its first two episodes back-to-back, while the next episodes will continue to air weekly one at a time.
