New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart is targeting a return to action by the end of August, she told reporters Sunday ahead of her team's Finals rematch against the Minnesota Lynx. Stewart has been out since July 26 with a right knee bone bruise.

Stewart suffered a bone bruise in her right knee early into New York's 101-99 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on July 26. Once the severity of the injury was known, head coach Sandy Brondello pegged late August as a tentative timeline for when she'd be in the lineup again.

Breanna Stewart is feeling better after suffering a bone bruise in her right knee late last month and hopes to be back by the end of the month.
