Residents of the Palestinian refugee district of Jabalia in the Gaza Strip are reporting ongoing Israeli attacks in the area, saying that repeated explosions and low-flying drones can be heard. Israel has reportedly encircled the district and imposed a curfew.

Thousands of people are trapped in Gaza's Jabalia camp as Israeli forces attack the area, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) said on Friday, a week after Israel launched an offensive there which it says is aimed at stopping Hamas regrouping.
