Two robbers battered a liquor store clerk Wednesday night before taking merchandise in the Lakeview neighborhood, Chicago police said. About 7:45 p.m., two males entered a liquor store in the 400 block of West Diversey Parkway and approached a clerk who was at the counter.

Police said a clerk was injured after being hit in the arm during the robbery at Eastgate Wine & Spirits. Around 7:45 p.m., two men entered the store near Diversey and Pine Grove and approached the male clerk behind the counter.
