Michigan is getting over $1 million of a $52M settlement reached between Marriott and a coalition of 50 Attorneys General.

The hospitality giant continues to face fallout from security breaches over the past decade. But one could argue that governments have largely let Marriott off the hook.

Minnesota will receive more than $800,000 as part of a nationwide settlement with Marriott International over a data breach. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison recently announced that he and 49 other attorneys general had reached a $52 million settlement with the hospitality company.

Attorney General Brenna Bird announced Wednesday that Iowa will receive over half a million in the nationwide $52 million settlement with Marriott.
