The Orlando Magic wanted to find scoring and shooting this summer. Desmond Bane was their answer, and the first big move of the NBA summer — before the NBA summer even officially begins — has arrived.

The Memphis Grizzlies raised some eyebrows when they surprisingly traded shooting guard Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic on Sunday, and some reportedly feel the move indicates a murky future for the team.

The Grizzlies will receive Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, a first-round pick swap and four unprotected first-round picks. The picks are for 2025, 2026, 2028 and 2030. A first-round pick swap in 2029 is also top-two protected.
