President Joe Biden declared a national day of mourning for Thursday, Jan. 9. Among the nationwide closures that day: All federal offices and agencies. All except employees deemed essential will have a paid day off. U.S. Postal Service. As a federal agency, the USPS will be closed for the day. The only deliveries will be Priority Mail Express.
