Nissan is recalling more than 480,000 of its vehicles across the U.S. and Canada due to potential manufacturing defects that could cause engine failure.

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration has issued a recall on 443,899 Nissan engines built between 2019 and 2024 due to a run of defective bearings that can cause engine damage or engine failure.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday it opened a recall query into about 299,000 vehicles from Chrysler parent Stellantis , after receiving complaints about faulty shifter cable bushings.
