Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona spoke to reporters on Sunday and provided an update on outfielder Austin Hays and infielder Jeimer Candelario. Candelario, who has been on the injured list since April 30 with a lumbar spine strain, will start is rehab assignment with the ACL Reds on Monday.

The Cubs won the series behind good pitching from Jameson Taillon, three hits from Pete Crow-Armstrong, and a Michael Busch home run.

Veteran left-hander Wade Miley opted out of his minor-league deal with the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday and became a free agent.

"Our goal is to see what starting opportunities are out there, but we’re absolutely not closing any doors with Cincinnati," Wade Miley's agent said.
